The campground is doing pretty well. The evacuation order was lifted at 9am Sunday, September 16, 2018. The crew is working on clean up. We do have campsites open with power and water. Cable is iffy. Our office phone lines are up and running. We appreciate your patience through the high call volume.

TRAVEL TO THE PARK: Some roads on your travel route may have flooding issues. Please visit SC DOT by clicking here. Please visit NC DOT by clicking here.

OPERATING HOURS & AMENITIES: The office will be open from 7:30am to 9pm Monday through Thursday and 7:30am to 10pm Friday and Saturday. If you have a reservation you may come in up until midnight and check in with the gate after the office is closed. We can pull storage campers up until 4pm today.

All campground recreation activities will reconvene on Friday, September 21, 2018. The Outdoor Pool and Splash Park are open 10am-Sunset. The indoor pool is open 10am to 10pm. The camp store is open 9am to 5pm. The paddle boats have been removed from the water and are closed for the season. Graham’s golf carts will open Monday 8am.

ANNUAL SITES: We tried to go by all the annual sites in a Facebook live video that is available on our Facebook page. A more thorough assessment has been completed and owners of units with apparent damage have been notified. Please bring debris to the inland area campsites on the corner of PirateLand trail and Schooner trail. We encourage you to come and check your unit when you can to ensure you don’t have any leaks.

TRAILER STORAGE: Preliminary checks of the storage areas look good, no flooding or large limbs down that we saw. A thorough assessment found some minor issues and we have reached out to those owners. We did see some battery covers, vent covers and molding laying around but cannot be sure where they came from. We encourage anyone with a storage unit to check it for leaks when they can.

We thank you for your patience and understanding. We are in constant prayer for all those that will be impacted by this storm.

We are making the following changes to our policies:

We are waiving all fees for cancelling or changing dates with an arrival date from today to Friday, September 21, 2018.

We will issue credit vouchers for early departures starting Monday September 10, 2018. Vouchers will be mailed to guests.
